Admission Criteria

THC services individuals who are experiencing chronic homelessness and who identify as transgender, non-binary, or gender non-conforming. THC defines chronic homelessness as a lack of permanent housing for more than one year or a lack of permanent housing four to five times within a year.

To be admitted into THC’s program, individuals must be 18 years of age or older and residents of the Atlanta metropolitan area. We prioritize individuals who have resided in Atlanta for three years or more.

  • THC services indivduals who are experiencing chronic homelessness and who identify as transgender, non-binary, or gender non-conforming. Indivduals must be 18 years of age or older and residents of the Atlanta metro area.

  • Please utilize our website and click apply now to submit a proper application. Our DMs and comments are constantly flooded, and we cannot assist or provide you services via social media.

  • If you meet criteria you will be assigned a case manager that will assist you in journey to permanent housing. This includes all wrap-around services like hormone replacement treatment, name change, employment, education, addiction treatment, counseling, and other support services.

  • Unfortunately, we do not provide services outside of Atlanta metro area. We also prioritize individuals who have resided in Atlanta for three years or more.

  • Our focus and priority our expertise in other cities and states. We recommend checking local guides and/or resources for assistance.

  • Resources are limited, securing permanent housing is not immediate, and moving to Atlanta does not automatically secure you a spot in our program. We strongly discourage anyone from leaving their current state to become homeless in Atlanta to recieve services.

  • In rare cases we do assist program clients with these issues when they arise, however we do not provide monetary assistance outside of our program. We hope in future we can provide community rental grants to trans and gender non-conforming folks.

  • Absolutely not! Though trans women make up a majority of our clients, we encourage all trans and gender-non comforming folks to apply.
